The three Bexley High School senior boys who ranked their female classmates “attractiveness” will spend the remainder of the school year learning from home, according to the school district.
A nine-tier chart ranking the girls from “bhaddie” at the top all the way down to “disgusting trash people” was posted on an Instagram story on April 17. Some of the other categories include “def above average,” “meh,” a vomit emoji and “horse.”
The girls faces were posted next to different categories, with those closest to the left ranked higher in that category. This is similar to how tier lists rate albums, video game characters and television show episodes.
Bexley City Schools investigating
Bexley City School District is aware of the list and investigating the situation, according to district officials.
The district is working to determine who compiled the list and sent out a notice to students and families about the social media post on Monday. Citing student privacy laws, the district would not say what the potential punishment would be for anyone found to have been involved in creating the list.
“The District is deeply concerned and does not condone these actions,” district officials said in a statement to The Dispatch on Monday. “We are very grateful for the courage of our students who brought this inappropriate behavior to our attention. BCSD is providing counseling to our students who have been impacted. We remain committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for each of our students.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. An investigation is underway after a 20-year-old American University student from Bexley, Ohio, was found dead at his off-campus residence.
The Washington Post reports that authorities have not determined the cause of death for Eli Weinstock, a 2019 graduate of Bexley High School. Weinstock died in his residence on Wednesday, March 3, WBNS Channel 10 reports.
“Eli was incredibly intelligent, very witty. He had kind of a sharpness to his humor,” Bexley High School math teacher Melissa McCreary tells ABC 6. “He was very creative, very inquisitive. He liked to do things his own way.”
