After snowstorms, options for walking or recreation may seem limited as cities and towns dig out.
But there are places to explore. While there’s no directory of what’s open after storms, there are resources people can use to figure it out for themselves.
City and town workers clear many of the tracks and walkways in local parks and recreation areas after they plough streets, schools and sidewalks.
That includes the popular City Park in Buttonwoods, a 2.8-mile loop trail.
Cranston workers also clear tracks, such as those at Doric Park, Bain Middle School and Park View Middle School. Volunteers clear one or two lanes of the track at Cranston High School West.
