Douglas A. Reynolds, age 57, of Florida died February 5, 2021 from complications due to COVID-19. He was born in Newport, R.I. on September 23, 1963 to Elmer and Marion “Ella” Reynolds. Doug worked at Shaw’s Grocery store while attending Rogers High School. Soon after graduation, he served as an Army Medic in Germany for 3-years. After his discharge from the service, he traveled and spent time in Australia where he was able to explore the continent “on a shoestring” by hiking and camping.
Upon his return to the U.S., he continued to work in Supermarket chains in Rhode Island and Florida before obtaining his Commercial Driver’s License. During the last 25-years, his work in the trucking and transportation industries, allowed him the freedom of travel throughout the US and the ability to pursue his passions of meeting new people, photography, and outdoor sports of skiing, riding his motorcycle and hiking.
