we ll show you more of the chase and give you the latest developments on it tonight on news4 at 5:00. pat? all right. thanks, tisha. it was a terrible morning for hundreds of drivers. a truck accident brought the interloop of the beltway to a screeching halt for hours. the whole ordeal started around 4:30 this morning. traffic didn t start moving there again until almost 8:00. news4 s megan mcgrath has details. reporter: oh, the frustration. hundreds of cars and trucks stuck on the interloop for more than three hours this morning. casey maddox missed his early-morning flight. i was supposed to be on a flight at 6:55. total standstill. occasionally you ll see cars move a little bit, but i think that s i m not even sure anyone is moving at all. reporter: a tractor-trailer accident was the cause of this morning s disastrous commute. work crews not only had to clear the trucks, they also had a fuel spill on their hands. all lanes of the interloop were closed at 3:55.
