carjackings that happened at the wheaten plaza shopping center over this past week. joining me with more information on this investigation is captain paul starks with montgomery county police. give us an idea, we had released surveillance video earlier in the week. first off, what information do you have today and did that help out in this arrest? it did. we do have a suspect in custody in prince george s county. he s being held there on the strength of a warrant we have charging him with multiple counts of robbery and carjacking, relling to the three events that occurred in the wheaten area over the thanksgiving weekend. the media coverage and community interest really helped us from the beginning of this week. reporter: any information we can release now about who this suspect is? he is being identified as henry levi sanders, age 50 of landover. reporter: give us an idea, too, in that area, do you think folks were on heightened alert, did this help in getting this p
happening with the weather. now let s get a look at the traffic. here s julie wright with that. problems northbound 395. we are live up towards pentagon parking. incident blocking the left lane. on the brakes in the hov lanes working up to duke street. you ll find lanes are open traveling southbound along 270. no incidents to report leaving germantown, but a slow go continuing south of mda. traveling inbound on route 50, making your way past 202 headed into northeast, down to about 26 miles per hour. but the lanes are open. got problems traveling out of calvert county. police on the scene of a crash. closed southbound 4 at route 2. involves an overturned truck. everything else is open. that s a check of your on-time traffic. a man is free after four months in jail. new video shows gary giordano leaving last night, a judge in aruba says prosecutors didn t present enough evidence to hold him. later this morning they hope to convince an appeals court to order him back. gary
