Roadmap for easing lockdown. Picture: Boris Johnson In England, the next set of restrictions is due to ease on Monday, April 12. Non-essential retail and outdoor hospitality reopen for the first time in months - and the stay local message will end, meaning some domestic holidays will be possible. Pubs and restaurants will be allowed to serve food and alcohol outdoors. Unlike restrictions in December last year, there will be no need for customers to order a substantial meal with alcoholic drinks and no curfew. Personal care premises such as hairdressers and beauty salons will be able to open. Indoor leisure facilities such as gyms will also reopen; as will most outdoor attractions and settings including outdoor hospitality venues, zoos, theme parks, and drive-in cinemas.
