Few helpful tips when dealing with rough Winter Weather. Trooper wonders says drivers should stay home unless its an absolute emergency. If you do need to get out make sure you drive slow and have warm winter wear in your vehicle. With parts of eastern iowa expected to see both snow and ice, he says drivers need to take even more precaution. The main difference between snow and ice is just being able to see the ice, and a lot of times people are taken off guard and surprised by the ice on the road that they cant see and get over confident with their speed. Iowa is not the only place in the country dealing with rough weather. Texas has been tornadoes and flooding, which has left at least 11 people dead.
