West Fargo Exchange Club names April students of the month

Kallod’s parents are Darren and Michelle Kallod. Kallod was nominated by Lori Anderson for the West Fargo Exchange Club’s Student of the Month. Kallod has been involved in the West Fargo High School Band, the Euphonium Solo Festival, has earned two Regional Stars and another Star at State. Kallod was in All-State, played in the UND Honor Band and played in the pit orchestra for three years. Micah also played the electric bass for Jazz Ensemble during all four years of high school. Kallod participated in the West Fargo Summer Arts Intensive Program in the production of Footloose. He is a member of National Honor Society and a has been a member of the WFHS Trap Shooting team for all four years of high school, lettered and went to All State.

Christmas 2019 was the last time he saw him.

Don Larsen Martin Donald, “Don”, Larsen, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. Born in Kindred to Roger and Esther (Soroos) Larsen, the oldest of three children, his family moved to Casselton in 1937 when Roger purchased the Federated Store. After graduating from Central Cass High School in 1947, Don attended the University of North Dakota where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, completed a degree in accounting and developed a love of UND ice hockey. Upon graduation from UND, he earned a commission in the US Air Force and was stationed at Mountain Home, Idaho. Due to the signing of Korean War armistice agreement, Don narrowly escaped deployment and later received a promotion to Captain upon discharge. He again fulfilled his duty to his country by later serving in the honor guard at many military funerals.
