MOUNT HOLLY As an artist, Bethany Carns is a perfectionist, taking as much time as she needs to draw every little line and shading just right, according to Rancocas Valley Regional High School art teacher John Furno.
Vaneise Sonny, on the other hand, is a free spirit. She sees a blank canvas and just starts drawing, and she doesn t stop until she s finished.
But despite their differences, both RV students are finalists in the national Vans Custom Culture Contest.
The contest, run by the skateboard-style shoe company, asks high school students across America to create designs for blank pairs of Vans shoes.
