COULEE CITY – A strong defensive effort carried the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors to their Northeast 1B District Tournament win over Northport Tuesday night, holding the Mustangs to under 30 points in a 54-24 win.

YAKIMA – The Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors left Thursday’s 1B State Volleyball Tournament with hardware, taking home a fourth-place trophy back to Coulee City.
The No. 4 seed Warriors opened the tournament with wins over Mount Vernon Christian and Mary Walker on Wednesday but lost to No. 1 Oakesdale in the state semifinals and No. 3 Mossyrock in the third/fourth-place game.
COULEE CITY – After falling in districts in the 2022 season, the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warrior volleyball team entered the 2023 season with a veteran group of players aiming for the school’s first state berth since 2019.
PULLMAN Sydney Ohlemann, a senior at Cle Elum/Roslyn High School, has been selected as Washington’s Distinguished Young Woman for 2024, according to an announcement from the Distinguished Young Women program. Addy Carlile of Moses Lake was the first runner-up.
