From July 6-14, Emory hosted the national College Horizons summer workshop for Native American, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian high school students who are applying to colleges and universities.
Emory Conference Services made its name housing gymnasts during the 1996 Summer Olympics and subsequently has burnished its reputation as an incomparable host. This summer promises to be busy for the professional staff and Emory students who serve campus guests.
As part of the 2023 Commencement festivities, Campus Life hosted ceremonies for seven Belonging and Community Justice affinity groups. These programs honored students achievements and supported them in exploring their identities while at Emory.
Some 200 Emory community members began to absorb the ways of knowing and cosmology of the Muscogee people during a teach-in on the Quad. Listening sessions also took place on both campuses for the Emory community and Nation Citizens to weigh in on the proposed Indigenous Language Path.
With a commitment to deepening a new and developing relationship, 15 Emory community members traveled to Okmulgee, Oklahoma, on a journey of learning at the invitation of the Muscogee Nation.
