The group is advocating for changes to the town’s new water and sewer rates after the new rates resulted in unexpectedly high utility bills for some residents this month.
Niskayuna is projected to see a short-term rise in expenses while it pays off prior short-term borrowing, according to Town Comptroller Beth Greenwood.
The move would consolidate the town s more than two dozen drainage districts with its stormwater sewage district in order to streamline operations and bolster future infrastructure projects.
