polls, what all americans would think, hillary clinton, her favorable rating at this point, 46%. that is up from 44% in august. her unfavorable at 50%. that is down from 53% in august. so the glass half full here is she s making progress. the glass half empty is she s still under water when it comes to her favorable/unfavorable. among democratic voters, democratic leaning voter as well, when asked which democratic candidate do you trust most to handle a myriad of issues, hillary clinton besting bernie sanders by a lot here. certainly let s look at foreign policy, for instance. this is an issue that republicans are going to make a big issue of, come the general election, especially if clinton is the no, ma amfy. she s heading into this week where she s talking about foreign policy. she ll be testifying before the benghazi committee. she s at 62% of democratic leaning democratic voters saying she is the one they trust on
besting bush with $20 million last quarter. and texas season tonator ted crt that far behind. it should calm concerns from donors. we watched the candidate fall behind in key early states as donald trump surges. trump still sits atop the gop field and now trying out general election style attacks. if i don t win, i consider it to be a massive failure. that means primaries, win the election because otherwise, hey, we ve had a lot of fun but nothing is going to happen. i watched hillary last night, we ll give this and that and the poor woman will have to give everything away because this maniac standing on her right is giving everything away so she follows him. i call him a socialist, communist. the front runner hedging bets taking on hillary clinton and bernie sanders in the same breath. so why go after bernie sanders if you think hillary clinton was
in the first full quarter as a candidate, he announced he raised $13 million. and trump s raised a lot of money for someone who says he doesn t need it, right? but there was more to that, that he spent quite a bit of money. that s absolutely right. you know, he s raised a lot of money, but he also goes on the trail and talks about how cheap this campaign has been for him. he talks about how he s only put in about $2 million of his own into this account. well, it turns out, that s not the whole picture. donald trump has spent $2 million of his own spent, but spent about $5.6 million total, which means he s spent an awful lot of other people s money as well. and while he may be very far ahead in the polls, it s pretty clear this money race is heating up. tonight, new fund-raising numbers show the bush campaign isn t going anywhere. it s an amount that will be competitive, for sure. reporter: bush raised $13.4 million in the third quarter, a haul that puts him near the top of the go
i have such respect for women, i cherish women. i m going to take such good care of women s health care issues. you won t even believe it. but i m surging with women. whether or not you believe that and whether or not you think trump gets too much coverage or gets a free pass for it too many questionable statements, there s no denying as a factual matter right now his polling is only improving as the fall campaign season arrives. he has a 13-point lead in today s new washington post abc poll besting ben carson s 20%. establishment favored jeb bush is essentially in nonestablishment territory down at about 7%. there s no national primary. sometimes the more relevant of trump leads in iowa according to an internet poll of iowa republicans, also new
that s the first target. i think the truth is that whatever she does, however small and obvious will be news because it s her doing it. and very few candidates in truth have been helped by primary fights. you could arc you that barak obama on screen right now, he was helped by besting hillary clinton. by and large, i teach this to my students, you can go all the way back and the faster you lock up your party nomination as a general rule, the more likely you are to win. so for the democrats and for hillary, she ll find plenty of good things to do other than have to be involved in divisive and ugly primary battles which she probably would choose not to be in. i predict lots of no cos with her new grandchild. thank you 100%. as always thank you.
