Froggie s 5 and 10, the fun gift and toy shop that was a destination on Knox Street for decades, will open at Hillside Village, the shopping center on the northeast corner of Mockingbird Lane and Abrams Road. According to a release, the store will open in the spring. As one of Dallas’ oldest and most iconic toy stores, Froggie’s 5 & 10 provides toys and gifts for all ages that are sure to delight. The store will be located in the same retail space alongside its sister company, Betty Lou, which offers unique finds including greeting cards, home decor, seasonal gifts, candles, books and more.

This 10-day showcase in Dallas will spotlight nearly a dozen Black-owned restaurants in Dallas. According to a release, it ll take place from March 12-March 21. Dallas restaurants confirmed include: Ten 01 Bistro The idea is to eat at these restaurants during the March 12-21 window. More are likely to be added.

A new ranking from real estate investment marketplace Roofstock places Dallas-Fort Worth at No. 5 among the major U.S. metro areas with the highest rates of startup formation. Roofstock s ranking, based on data from the U.S. Census Bureau, puts the DFW s startup formation rate at 9.82 percent. The startup formation rate refers to the number of new businesses in a given year divided by the total number of businesses.
