French ex-pat Caillol (39) has been part
of the TGRNZ family for four years so far and will take
overall responsibility for both the international TRS
category and the domestic Best Bars Toyota 86 Championship.
He replaces Mark Whittaker who is moving to a wider service
development role within the Toyota New Zealand
organisation.
Aside from four seasons as the Category
Manager for the internationally recognised TRS championship,
Caillol brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his
new role. He has engineered for teams in multiple
international championships, including GP3, Formula Renault,

news that the next Best Bars Toyota 86 Championship winner
will also win a Supercar test with the ultra-successful
Triple Eight Race Engineering team.

The prize is being
made available to the championship winner by the Tony Quinn
Foundation and is recognition that the TR86 series is now
the premier saloon car championship in New

The winner of the Toyota 86 series in New Zealand will score a Supercars test with powerhouse squad Triple Eight.
The prize is being facilitated by the Tony Quinn Foundation, run by Quinn himself and a number of other NZ motor racing industry players such as Steve Horne, John Gordon, Greg Murphy and Josie Spillane.
Quinn is both heavily active on the New Zealand motor racing scene as the owner of both the Hampton Downs and Highlands circuits, and is also the majority owner of the T8 squad.
