CARTERET COUNTY — Detectives from the Carteret County and Craven County Sheriff’s offices charged three individuals Feb. 21 with trafficking methamphetamine in Carteret and Craven counties.
On Feb. 23, charges were filed against Dustin Glenn Ledford, 41, of Bessemer City, for felony child abuse-sexual act and indecent liberties with a child.
Officials say a Gaston County police officer was responding to the incident, with their blue lights and siren on, when the collision occurred. The citizen died and the officer was taken to a local hospital.
