DANBURY - The city’s top planner has come out against a zoning request by a prominent developer to permit age-restricted housing for seniors in greater density than would otherwise be allowed in residential neighborhoods.
Planning Director Sharon Calitro’s recommendation against the zoning request by developer Dan Bertram comes one week before a public hearing about the rule change, which could give Bertram permission to build 28 units of age-restricted housing on property in a residential neighborhood where only 12 units are permitted.
