Recall system beri keadilan, perkasa undi rakyat

Recall system beri keadilan, perkasa undi rakyat A A JOHOR BAHRU - Bait al-Amanah menyokong usaha Gabungan Pilihan Raya Bersih dan Adil (Bersih 2.0) menerusi kaedah Simulasi Pilihan Raya Pecat (PRP) yang bertujuan menyingkirkan Ahli Parlimen Tebrau, Steven Choong Shiau Yoon.

Cops say Kg Muhibbah activists remanded until Monday (April 26) while NGOs clamour for their release

KOTA KINABALU: The seven people who were arrested for demonstrating outside Kg Muhibbah in Tawau will be remanded until Monday (April 26). Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali said they are under investigation for offences under the Emergency Ordinance (Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases 2021), the Peaceful Assembly Act, and for disobeying instructions to disperse. In the 3.30pm demonstration on Saturday (April 24), the seven were seen holding placards protesting, among other things, the extension of the enhanced movement control order on Kg Muhibbah. Among their reasons for demonstrating was to get the authorities to reconsider the extension because the villagers there reportedly have no means to get daily necessities.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 Electoral watchdog Bersih 2.0 has suggested that the functions of the Election Commission be divided up into three distinct entities to improve the voting process in Malaysia. Researcher Chan Tsu Chong said these would ideally be the existing EC, an electoral enforcement commission (EEC), and an electoral boundaries commission (EBC). “The EC will to administer and conduct elections as well as manage voter registration and the electoral roll, while the EEC will monitor and ensure compliance to elections-related laws, and the EBC will review and delimitate electoral boundaries,” he said during Bersih’s webinar to release its fourth research report earlier today.
