Andy Jackson/Stuff Police are scouring for information relating to an assault during a street fight that left one person in critical condition in Palmerston North. A Palmerston North street fight has left one man hospitalised in a critical condition and has police urging anyone with information to come forward. A large brawl broke out near the entrance of Berrymans Lane on Broadway Ave at 3.15am on Sunday. One man in his early 20s was knocked unconscious during the fight and kicked in the head as he lay on the ground, Detective Sergeant Daniel Busuttin​ said. Paramedics took him to Palmerston North Hospital before being transferred to Wellington Hospital.
