San Jose officials on Tuesday unanimously approved a development plan that will shrink the city’s long-standing flea market for housing and commercial space and could displace hundreds of vendors.
The City Council met Tuesday after voting on a continuance last week amid pressure from some vendors who went on a two-day hunger strike demanding a 90-day deferment.
