Cllr Marshall and Derek Bradley COMMUNITIES across County Durham are being given a brighter, greener future as a multi-million pound regeneration programme begins to take shape. Durham County Council’s recently approved Towns and Villages Strategy is now being rolled out right across the county, ensuring better outcomes for communities, and focusing on the priorities identified by residents and partners. The Towns and Villages Investment Plan has committed £20m to those areas most in need or impacted by the pandemic and, following extensive consultation, a further £5m has been allocated across the authority’s Area Action Partnerships to deliver against their own priorities for regeneration.
