A ransomware attack forced an unplanned day off for Franklin County Public Schools on Monday. Schools have reopened today and authorities are investigating.
When Bernice Cobbs became Franklin County s superintendent of schools in 2020 her starting pay was $125,000. The new schools leader starting July 1 will make $156,000.
“He brings a lot of experience to that role which is something we wanted to see in our next superintendent,” said Worley. “We felt like we needed experience and especially experience in a rural community.”
A longtime educator, Kevin Siers will take leadership of the Franklin County Public Schools on July 1. He s served as Pulaski County s superintendent since 2016. Prior to that he was principal of Christiansburg High School.
