TO support SMEs across Berkshire and help improve resilience now that the UK has left the EU, a new three-way collaboration has been launched between the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub.
Running until the end of March, this new initiative is designed to help SMEs in Berkshire understand and adjust to the changes that came in on January 1.
Free course on offer for ambitious would be entrepreneurs - but be quick A free business start-up course is offering budding entrepreneurs across Berkshire the chance to turn their ideas into reality. The Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub is offering residents of the county the chance to apply for the three-day online course, learning fundamental skills and knowledge they need to successfully start their own business. There are only 20 free places available on the programme, which begins on January 27 and runs every Wednesday for three weeks. The deadline for initial applications is midnight on Sunday. Peter Fleming, manager of the Berkshire Growth Hub, said: “It is designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence they need to get their new venture off to the best possible start. Through a series of three interactive workshops, attendees receive practical advice and have the chance to network with fellow entrepreneurs.

Businesses across Berkshire are being offered a helping hand to recover from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic thanks to a local support scheme.
Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub has launched a Recovery & Growth Programme to provide free tailored support to eligible businesses to help them plan their recovery, build resilience and maximise opportunities to grow.
Developed from the Berkshire Growth Hub’s successful High Growth Programme, this new initiative provides business owners with 12 hours of impartial support via a mix of one-to-one virtual meetings with an experienced business adviser from the Growth Hub and advice clinics with industry experts.
