While the name “Berkley Common” has been around for years, the concept, vibe and menu all changed when Goran Dimic and Brandon Gorgies purchased the restaurant in September. The owners of Naked Burger have introduced an always changing seasonal menu where everything is made in house. The new Berkley Common is upscale and inviting, but not intimidating, offering a warm atmosphere where you get a fine-dining meal for a very good price.

BERKLEY, Mich. – Many Michigan restaurants found different ways to remain afloat amid a state COVID shutdown prohibiting indoor dining.
But restaurants will now be able to reopen indoor dining Feb. 1 with restrictions, such as operating at 25% capacity and a 10 p.m. curfew.
Kathering Kutscher redesigned the street outside her Berkley Common restaurant for unique heated seating. And with indoor dining reopening, she said she will keep it along with curbside carryout.

“It’s so hard to plan. You talk to most restaurant owners right now and the first thing they say is they’re exhausted,” Kutscher said.

OAKLAND COUNTY Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced Jan. 22 that a new order governing indoor dining at restaurants during the pandemic will go into effect at the beginning of February.
The order, which goes into effect Feb. 1, states that restaurants and bars will be allowed to open at 25% capacity with up to 100 people. Tables must be 6 feet apart with no more than six people allowed per table, and outdoor tents with four sides will be permitted under these rules.
