Remember that the reason for Christmas. Jesus Christ was born in a barn and laid in a manger on hay or straw, surrounded by farm animals. He was wrapped in swaddling cloths made from an agricultural product, probably linen or cotton.
One of the first things I think of as a symbol of Christmas today is the Christmas tree. Then there are the greens that might include holly, mistletoe and other greens. Christmas for me wouldnât be the same without a poinsettia or two and a Christmas cactus or an Amaryllis to brighten up the house.
