In just a matter of hours, the eclipse will sweep from southern mexico across much of the United States and canada, and here in the bay area well get a little partial taste. It was a nice weekend, and from here it gets warmer. Were going to see the sky continuing to clear out, and this week well have a mostly clear sky, lots of sunshine over the next several days. Our temperatures will warm some of our inland highs, and we may reach up to 80 degrees by the end of the week. Friday it starts to cool off as rain chances increase. Well see another round tomorrow. We will have a couple waives of rain moving in. Well see this several days off and on. Heres a live look outside at san jose where we do see that it is all dry as of now. Weve been waiting on some of those showers to move in. Live look outside at palo alto, also dry as we look down from above, and the Golden Gate Bridge has been wet. You can see drivers making it across with the windshield wipers on and the flag is also waiving. So, weve been enacting our storm ranger mobile Doppler Radar to give us a view of what is happening in the bay area with a higher resolution. It tells us what type of precipitation, it can even pickup on smoke. This is exclusive to nbc bay area, and we are using it right now on San Bruno Mountain to see whats happening around the bay area. Also putting that rain a few minutes ahead of what some of the other radars may be detecting and some scattered light showers across parts of the north bay. And also in San Francisco right now
