Jersey City may investigate whether a swath of Downtown land that includes the Sixth Street Embankment should be designated as an area in need of redevelopment.
The City Council will vote on a resolution Wednesday permitting the Planning Board to study the land after Conrail pulled out of a settlement that would have ended a 15-year long legal battle over the parcels.
