Kilkenny business prepare to re-open after seven months

Linda Murray and Jenny White from Beoga Nutrition prepare to reopen their doors on Monday, (May 17) for the first time in over seven months.
Similar to so many businesses all over the country, Beoga Nutrition’s work came to a halt last March.
“We’ve been on and off with the whole opening and closing saga. Closed in March, opened briefly in July, closed again in October. It’s been a rollercoaster,” said Jenny White.
They have been adapting their method and style of work. In addition, working quietly behind the scenes in preparation to open.

Local health and beauty experts will share their wealth of experience to raise funds for Amber Women’s Refuge at the inaugural Wellfest which takes place later this month.
The virtual event will take place from May 21 to 23 and features a host of well known local names and businesses including Kieran O’Gorman, Martin Matthews, Beoga Nutrition, Edward Hayden, Eyrebrushed, Donna Dunne Fitness, Noelle Roche, Cakeface, Dominka Stoppa Design, Confident Women Ireland, Yoga with Mary, The Cutting Vedge, Ann Neary, Image Beauty and Christine Scarry.

The ground-breaking initiative involved in taking Savour, Kilkenny’s annual food festival, online during Covid-19 is coming to a close, but the festival will continue to make all its content available during the latest national restrictions.
The festival’s cookery demonstrations, health and wellbeing advice sessions, kids cookery classes and profiles of local food producers and businesses will be available on the Savour Kilkenny Youtube channel and social media platforms for the coming months amid the rigours of working from home, eating in rather than out, and occupying ourselves and children and learn ing new skills.
