“Compared to last Tuesday (26 October), the number of trucks queuing to enter the EU has decreased by 19%. Over the past 24 hours, the adjacent checkpoints at the EU border fulfilled their truck passage commitments only by 74% letting in 2,970 out of 4,006 trucks,” the State Border Committee said.
It should be noted that compared to last Monday (25 October) the number of trucks in front of the Belarusian checkpoints on the border with the EU has decreased by 48%.
Benyakoni is the seventh border crossing the digital queue system has been commissioned at. The system is designed to offer comfortable border crossing experience to vehicle drivers in addition to addressing other issues, including the state of the environment on the roads and on roadsides near the border crossing.
More than 150 heavy-duty trucks were waiting to cross the border with Lithuania at the Vidzy checkpoint, 70 at Kotlovka, more than 260 at Kamenny Log, over 140 at Benyakoni, and over 170 at Privalka.
