An AR-15 assault rifle was allegedly used to rob a person of their backpack and laptop early this morning near the U.C. Berkeley campus, according to U.C..
Berkeley Police Department responded to a report of a robbery via an AR-15 long gun near Unit 2 Sunday morning, according to a UC Berkeley WarnMe alert.

On Wednesday, UCPD reported a robbery via gun that occurred at 2509 Benvenue Ave. at 10:16 p.m.
The suspect, armed with a gun, approached an individual and stole their wallet, according to a UCPD alert. The suspect was last seen heading south down Benvenue Avenue on foot.
UCPD asks anyone with information about this crime or others to contact Berkeley Police Department at 510-981-5900.

According to a UCPD email, an armed robbery occurred at Parker Street and Benvenue Avenue on Sunday evening.

An armed robbery occurred at Parker Street and Benvenue Avenue on Sunday evening, according to a UCPD email.
At 9:54 p.m., two suspects were involved in a robbery with a handgun, according to the email. The suspects were last seen running west on Parker Street, then south on Regent Street.
The victim was not injured, the email added.
