The Nigerian Senate has appointed Senator Abba Moro representing Benue South Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the Senate Minority Leader. Senator Moro was appointed to replace Senator Simon Mwadkon of the same PDP who represented Plateau North Senatorial District before he was sacked by the Court of Appeal. The Senate also appointed Senator Osita Ngwu representing Enugu West Senatorial District on the platform of the PDP as Senate Minority Whip.
