In Schenectady, the Joan Nicole Prince Home in Scotia is seeking participants for its annual Still Human Virtual Walk/Run event to raise awareness about end-of-life issues and assist the home with its efforts to help the terminally ill. Among the businesses supporting the cause are 1st National Bank of Scotia, Glenville Funeral Home, Fenimore Asset Management, Bennett Contracting, Stewart’s Shops, Alltown Fresh, True Juice, Healthy Living, Honest Weight and others. The major goal of the Still Human Virtual Walk/Run is to raise awareness about the dying person’s bill of rights and the need for individuals at the end of life to be treated as a human being, with comfort, respect and dignity.
