Central Pa. man found in Susquehanna River died from accidental drowning: report

The death of a Mechanicsburg man who drowned in the Susquehanna River last month has been ruled accidental, according to a report from LancasterOnline.
Eric Bieber, chief deputy of the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, previously confirmed the body was identified as Benjamin M. Shambaugh of Mechanicsburg. The 36-year-old had died by freshwater drowning, but the manner of death was not released at the time.
On Wednesday, Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni told LancasterOnline that Shambaugh’s death has been ruled accidental.
Shambaugh’s body was found around 10:36 a.m. Jan. 15, by a fisherman near Koser Park in Conoy Township, Susquehanna Regional Police previously reported.

Cumberland County resident ID’d as man pulled from Susquehanna River

Authorities have identified the man whose body was found last week in the Susquehanna River.
Eric Bieber, chief deputy of the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, confirmed that the man had been identified as 36-year-old Benjamin M. Shambaugh of Mechanicsburg. Shambaugh’s cause of death was determined to have been freshwater drowning, Bieber said, but the manner of death was currently under investigation.
Shambaugh’s body was discovered by a fisherman around 10:30 a.m. Jan. 15 a.m., near Koser Park in Conoy Township, Lancaster County.
