The Heifetz International Music Institute at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton received the 2023 Circle of Excellence in the Arts Award that was presented at the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts at James Madison University in late June.
The sounds of strings will zing, and fill the air in Staunton, as the Heifetz International Music Institute prepares for its 2022 Festival of Concerts.

A new program will connect Heifetz International Music Institute musicians with Augusta Health patients and the frontline workers who support them.
The HeartStrings partnership features intimate “bedside performances” for individual patients as well as larger group concerts, in order to provide inspiration and a sense of community for those who in many cases have been isolated for weeks or even months.
