Two suspects in the murder of National Land Commission (NLC) official Jennifer Wambua have been detained for a further 10 days.
Kiambu Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichohi allowed the police to detain Benjamin Saitoti and David Sempuan until May 3 after the prosecution asked for more time to enable detectives piece together crucial evidence.
Another suspect, Peter Njenga alias Sankale, is also in police custody after detectives said he is believed to have crucial evidence that could help them in the ongoing probe.
Wambua went missing on March 12 but her body was found at Kerarapon in Ngong the next day.

Detectives Arrest Third Suspect in Jennifer Wambua Murder
Homicide detectives have in their custody another person of interest in the murder former National Lands Commission (NLC) Jennifer Wambua.
Investigators from the Homicide Department of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) picked up the suspect from his house at Embulbul in Ngong, Kajiado County on Tuesday night.
Detectives identified the suspect as 44-year-old businessman Peter Mwangi Njenga alias Sankale.
Investigating officer Vincent Lang’at, in a sworn affidavit filed before a Kiambu court, said Mr Mwangi was one of the people last seen with Ms Wambua at the scene where her body was found.
