OSBI Investigating Deadly Police Shooting In Webbers Falls
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into a deadly police shooting in Webbers Falls.
The OSBI said the shooting happened off Powerhouse Road, on the west side of the Webbers Falls lock and dam. The OSBI said Webbers Falls Police were trying to arrest Benjamin Ridley for outstanding warrants on Saturday.
Court records show Ridley was wanted for failing to show up to court in connection to a change to his sentence for a 2009 first degree rape case.
The OSBI said on Saturday, Ridley was armed with a handgun, but does not say whether he was holding or carrying the weapon.

A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Webbers Falls. It happened on Saturday, when officers went to the Webbers Falls Lock and Dam to arrest a man on outstanding warrants. Police said the man had a gun, but it is not known if he fired at the officers before he was shot. The man is identified as 29-year-old Benjamin Ridley.
