I mean, i wont speak for who is an amazing superintendent in des moines, but theres much evidence that there is relationship between the experience of teachers and the stability of schools and frankly part of what were trying to do in schools that are struggling is how do we nurture and secure Great Teachers to stay at those schools. So, obviously, there is both on a macro and a micro way, there are real both correlations here and things like that. I think what my colleague was saying is that the dollarfordollar piece that the that the department is proposing doesnt get you doesnt get you to the equity issues that you have spent your life, senator, fighting for. In march we began the competition for utc grants which allows students and faculty to Work Together towards innovative transportation solutions. Weve received 212 applications for the 35 grants available. Im proud of the work the department has accomplished in such a short period of time. But this is just the beginning. And it would not be possible i would like to repeat without the work of this congress on a bipartisan basis. We will continue our aggressive schedule to execute the reforms you put into place because if our nations going to have the type of Transportation System tomorrow that is better than it had today, wasted time is something none of us can afford. That distinction that these 13 officers of valor saved the lives of strangers is the first of several qualities they share. But their bravery, if it had not been for their bravery, we likely would have lost a lot of people, mothers, brothers, sons, daughters, friends, and loved ones.
