Perseverance, programming was designed by our panelists tonight so that we could tell the whole story of our 18th century community. Blending social history with public history to tell the africanamerican story had never been done before. And quite literally they were making history. This is the first of three panelist discussions that were going to have this year, and i would welcome you to come back on july 5th where we will look at current programming that focuses on africanamerican stories and also on october 18th where we will be focusing on the future and our panelists at that discussion will help us think about how do we continue to tell the story for, as mitchell said, it really is all of our story. How did you come across to drink your way across the world . I received a drunk text from the airplane to say lets combine our two favorite things which is drinking and traveling so then maybe write a book someday so that is the intention and then drink and we dont have to worry about the rules and we wrote a chapter thats not bad. Thats okay with venezuela and china and then we start traveling and to the former socialist countries it is a dad normal Academic Book so then we decided we word write a book published by regnery the cowriter from the Tech University we have been good friends for a long time and we both are in texas now so was easy to collaborate. Texas tech is a new position. What did you find in cuba quick. At first it was like any other book on the island like if youve been to jamaica until you start to notice now year in havana you look down the street at off there are restaurants but you cant tell a residential street from a business street because there is no signage.
