On Thursday, September 8th, 2022, Holly Anne Holden-Eklund passed away at the age of sixty-eight in her home in Moorhead, Minnesota, after many years of declining health. She is survived by her husband, Michael Eklund, son Benjamin Holden, brother Bruce Holden, grandsons Benjamin Holden Jr., and Dre Bang; nieces Katie (Simon) Gustavsson, Jacqui (Mike) Fitzpatrick, and Briana Eklund; nephews Darrian and Aidan Eklund, two very dear cats Ragtime and Nutmeg, and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Heather Holden. Holly was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Walter “Bud” and Louise (Kennedy) Holden on January 19th, 1954, their first child. A precocious tomboy and budding artist, she had a predilection for exploring and a determination to make her own way in an era that valued conformity.
