The American Invitational Mathematics (AMC) Examination was administered to 38 students from Pomperaug High School (PHS) recently. The AMC 10 and AMC 12 are both 25-question, 75-minute, multiple-choice examinations in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills.
On the AMC 12 exam, the following students scored the three highest scores at PHS: Jeffery Gao and Adam Ma in 1st place, Benjamin Ecsedy in 2nd place and Drew Rosenhein in 3rd place.
On the AMC 10 exam, the following students scored in the top three places at Pomperaug High School: Jason Hu in 1st place, Samarth Keerthivasan in 2nd place, and Nihitha Nelakudity in 3rd place.
