Terence Fox, of Ainsdale Court, died aged 80 at Royal Bolton Hospital on June 26. Police coroner’s officer Benjamin Dobbs confirmed that Mr Fox was admitted to hospital following a fall at home on May 17. He underwent surgery, before being discharged for rehabilitation. He was readmitted on June 8 due to low blood pressure and a chest infection. His condition deteriorated and he was pronounced dead two and a half weeks later, the court heard. He is survived by his wife Catherine. Area coroner Alan Walsh adjourned the inquest, which will resume at Bolton Coroners Court on November 11.
