A 27-year-old software engineer, Divyanshu Sharma, accidentally fell to his death from the 33rd-floor balcony of his friend s flat in Bengaluru. Sharma had been partying late into the night before the incident occurred. Preliminary investigations suggest that he slipped while trying to dispose of cigarette ash. Sharma, originally from Uttar Pradesh, had been residing in Kodigehalli. His father, a retired Indian Air Force employee, lives in Horamavu.
