A former leader of TMC's professor's cell told India Today that Partha Chatterjee knew of the corruption activities that went on in the education department but did not take any action to curb them.
West Bengal Education Minister stated that the state government does not currently have any urgent plans to close institutions and colleges amid rising covid cases in the state.
West Bengal schools and colleges will not be shut immediately as the state has been witnessing a rise in Covid-19 cases recently, said Education Minister Bratya Basu on Friday. He said a decision on this will be taken on the advice of the Health Department.
