As Gov. Jim Justice announced that vaccinations of school teachers and staff would begin this week, local county school districts announced their plans to start getting those vaccines to their employees.
Both Marshall and Ohio county school districts will start vaccinating employees this week, Marshall County starting today and Ohio County starting Friday. Those vaccination rollouts are part of the state’s plans to return students to in-person learning starting Jan. 19.
Marshall County Schools will be distributing vaccines to employees aged 50 and older today at John Marshall High School from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Superintendent Shelby Haines said the district administration was looking forward to getting those vaccines to those employees.
