One winery on this year’s destination list is Beneduce Vineyards in Pittstown, New Jersey.
The wines, from the Pinot Noir to the Riesling, are superb, and owner Mike Beneduce Sr. and winemaker and vineyard manager Mke Beneduce Sr. have found an unusual and successful niche by growing and diversifying both the Gewurztraminer and Blaufränkisch grapes. Wines from all four of those grapes were recognized in 2018 when critic James Suckling and his editors tasted through more than 800 wines from producers in 24 states, from Colorado to New York. All four of Beneduce’s wines scored 90 and above in hat Suckling called The America Wine Revolution tasting.
