BENIN CITY – Bendel Insurance FC of Benin showed strength and character against the Apex Krane of Agbor as they laboured to a 2-2 draw to share the spoils.
The Benin Arsenals took the lead in the 38th minute of the game against their host after Apex Krane’s defence and Goalkeeper, Pibowei Amabetare were caught knapping by Insurance energetic Sarki Ismael who completed Ojo Tolulope’s effort to calmly drop the ball into the net.
The jubilant Insurance were yet to return from celebration when their goalkeeper’s mistake gave the host a penalty kick which they converted to level up before the break.
BENIN CITY – The Chief Coach of Bendel Insurance FC of Benin Benard Ogbe has attributed his side’s 1-0 defeat to Crown FC of Ogbomosho to bad pitch.
The Benin Arsenal manager said this in a post match interview with journalists at the Lautech Sports Complex Ogbomosho,insisting that it will be difficult for any visiting professionals to comfortably execute their plans on such dry and bumpy pitch.
According to him, ” I wonder if NNL Inspection committee visited the Lautech Sports Complex before they approved it to host any NNL game. It was too bad for us to play. Apart from the bad pitch,that penalty awarded to our host happened outside the box but there was nothing we could do about the decision. We will now shift our attention to the next match in Benin. ” He reacted.

Benin, Jan. 26, 2021 The Chief Coach of Bendel Insurance FC, Baldwin Bazuaye, has resigned his position in the club.
The Media Officer of the Nigeria National League (NNL) club side, Kehinde Osagede, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Benin.
Osagede said that no reason was given for Bazuaye’s resignation, but the club however wished him well in his future endeavour.
He particularly commended the input of the ex-Super Eagles winger since the club was rebranded by the State Government four years ago.
The media officer said the club accepted Bazuaye’s resignation letter dated Jan. 22.

Ex-international Baldwin Bazuaye has resigned as chief coach of Bendel Insurance, the Nigeria National League side stated this in a statement by their media officer, Kehinde Osagede, on Tuesday.
No reason was given for Bazuaye’s resignation, but the club said Bazuaye’s resignation letter, dated January 22, 2021, was accepted, while also wishing him well in his future endeavours.
The statement commended the input of the ex-Super Eagles winger following the rebranding of the club by the Edo State Government four years ago.
Meanwhile, the club has elevated some of its coaching staff after Bazuaye’s resignation.
