Dhaka [Bangladesh], March 10 (ANI): Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi s visit to Bangladesh, the country s Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has expressed optimism that the trade relations between the two countries would reach new heights in the 50th year of Bangladesh s independence. We want to take the Bangladesh-India trade relations to such a position in our 50th year of independence which would remain memorable among the people of both countries. We re hopeful of resolving our existing problems. There is also strong resolve from the two countries to further expand investment and trade relations, The Independent (Bangladesh) quoted Munshi as saying.

PK Halder fled country through Benapole land port

DHAKA, March 1, 2021 (BSS) – Former managing director of NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance Limited Prashant Kumar Halder alias PK Halder fled the country through Benapole Land Port, just around two hours earlier immigration police received a notice about his travel ban.
Revealing this information to newsmen, Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik said the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) issued a notice in this regard on October 22, 2019, and the notice was sent to the headquarters of Special Branch (SB) of police at 4.30 pm on October 23.
“All the units of the Immigration Police were informed about the notice at 5.47pm of October 23. But PK Halder left the country through Benapole Land Port at 3.45pm on the same day,” Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik added.
