Holden Anderson, Windham senior, midfield: One of nine boys’ All-America selections in Maine, Anderson was one of the best in the state taking faceoffs, winning 82 percent against a tough schedule. He scored 12 goals, to go with 18 assists and 108 ground balls as a two-way middie. He will continue his career at Vassar College.
Alex Callahan, Scarborough senior, defense: An All-America selection, the sturdy 6-foot-1 defender excelled and earned respect against the state’s best teams. Callahan had 33 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. He will continue his career at Seton Hill, a top Division II program in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

SOUTH BERWICK Nick McSorley scored three goals, and Shea Green and Albert Allen added two apiece as top-seeded Berwick Academy advanced to the Class A South boys’ lacrosse final with 9-7 win Friday night against No. 4 Scarborough.
Connor Hohn made 12 saves to help the Bulldogs advance to a matchup at home on Tuesday against Cape Elizabeth. Jackson Travis had a goal and two assists, and Paddy Condon scored the other Berwick goal.

BOYS
Will Best, Yarmouth tennis: A sophomore playing No. 2 singles, Best twice won in straight sets as the Clippers (5-0) shut out Freeport on Thursday and defeated Cape Elizabeth 4-1 on Friday. Of the 12 teams in Class B South, only Yarmouth is unbeaten.
Caden Fontaine, Sanford baseball: The sophomore was instrumental in two 4-3 wins against Massabesic on Saturday. Fontaine had a walk-off RBI single to cap a three-run seventh-inning rally in the first game, then had two RBI and scored the winning run in the seventh inning of the second game.
