Weve been seeing images out of texas they take your breath away, words like catastrophic and historic being used to describe the flooding and damage from harvey and yet those words hardly seem to do it justice. Hard to believe that that part of this country is actually expecting more rain as well. Meanwhile, fema says they expect at least 30,000 people to live in those temporary shelters. We are just at the beginning of this. Heres where it stands right now. At least two people have died, but officials expect that number to rise as crews work that are way through still rising floodwaters. In houston alone more than 1,000 high water rescues

A region of 6. 8 Million People advised to shelter in place, and stay off the roads as the flooding disaster unfolds. The storm claiming even more lives and just behind me, you can see downtown houston, and where the Buffalo Bayou meets downtown, but there is so much water here. You cant tell where downtown ends and the bayou starts, and with all the help coming in from the federal and state governments and from california to rhode island, its still not enough. Neighbors and strangers pitching in. For a third brutal day, rescues. You see right there, an armada of volunteers with boats. Th tens of thousands of people under evacuations.
