He received his phd in ecology and evolutionary biology from Cornell University and his work integrates scientific literary and contemplative studies of the natural world. His 2012 book the forest unseen was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the pen eo wilson literary science writing award. He is here today to share his newest work with the songs of the trees.
